"The Blood Trail Down Payment" - Devotional 18 John 3;16-17

See if you can look at this image for 5 minutes.................. ............... How do you feel now? - What did you feel? You know that there are people out there who would say that the story of Jesus was just that a story. What do you think about that? How many questions do you have about Jesus , each day? What do you make of the character of Jesus?

Relax don't fret, these are all valid questions everyone has these questions.... So you want here the real of Jesus Christ. Here it is

Long ago, sin entered the world through one man's disobedience to God. Since you and I are descended from that one man, we inherited the nature of sin. God is a holy God and there is no sin in Him. Because of God's holiness, He must judge sin. His judgment is that we pay for sin with blood and death. "Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins." (Hebrews 9:22) "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23) The price for sinning against God is great, more than you or I could ever afford to pay.

For this reason, God manifested Himself in the flesh in the form of Jesus Christ. Jesus was born a baby and lived a real life just like you and I. He died a real death just like you and I will also. After being buried in a tomb for three days, Jesus was resurrected to eternal life. You and I can have eternal life also if we put our faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus paid the price for the sins of the whole world when He gave His life as a substitute for yours and mine. He died a brutal, painful, and shameful death by being hung on a cross and crucified. His blood was shed to make atonement for your sin and mine. If you accept Jesus' sacrifice for your sin, your debt is considered paid and you will be saved from condemnation because you are considered righteous before God through Jesus. "The love of God was manifested toward us, in that, God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this, is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins." (1 John 4:9-10) "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:16-17)

Receive God's free gift of salvation by accepting Jesus as your Savior and Lord. Pray to God the Father, in the name of Jesus, and ask Him to forgive your sins. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9) "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10) When you do this, you become born again by the Spirit of God. "Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God." (1 John 5:1)

When you become born again, God considers you His child because of His Holy Spirit in you. "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" (1 Corinthians 3:16) "The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ." (Romans 8:16-17)

"It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment." (Hebrews 9:27) If we believe in Jesus, although our bodies die physically, our spirits will live eternally with God because we will not be judged unrighteous. "He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you." (Romans 8:11) "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." (Romans 8:1) "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that is not of yourselves; it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:8) "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 5:1) HALLELUJAH!!!
