The undiscribable king Devo 53

A video

Lights, Camera ... God Entertainment INC - Devotional 52

Lakewood church is a church based out of Houston Texas. Pastor Joel Osteen is a well known author and tele-evanglist preacher. He preaches his version of the so called "Prosparity Gospel." Osteen gives his advice as he wishes to motivate people for God. I don't have a problem with telling people that God is good and loving. But for Osteen that seems to the one way traffic. Its very good to motivate people about God, so they can make decisions for Christ. But what is missing is the teachings of sin, redemption and forgiveness and over all understanding the rules, and why sin is destructive. I'm not saying to club your church followers over the head with DEAD = SIN, SIN, SIN! Infact thats Osteen main reason he tries his best to preach the way he does, He doesn't want to beat people over the head. Mr. Osteen Lifting God is what the CHRISTIANS must do, indeed. But without the mention of sin and redemtion. You will no doubt have false converts. Have you ever read Peter 5:8? If you haven't let me explain my feelings behind this. Behold your enemy the devil will go about like a roaring lionm seeking who he may devour." When people are facing tough times, sometimes just staying postive just doesn't work. When people face spiritual warfare , how will they comfront the forces darkness. Furthurmore, without any mention of Sin how will people begin to recgonize what sin is, and how will they learn to turn from it.?

Mr. Joel Osteen its not about what God can do for you... Its about recgonizing why the world needs Jesus!

If you continue with so called prosparity gospel , you will become what scripture says in the 2 book of Timothy.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 (New International Version)

3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

When your caught in the Lions den Devotional 51

Hello ladies and gentlemen I am back once again, I am back from what seemed to be like an unwinable war. No I`m not talking about going to Iraq or Afghanastan. Its much more serious than that. The word of life , the gospel says us as christians, don`t go to war with humans our war is the spiritual between the forces of darkness. The word says in "Peter 5:8 Your enemy the devil goes about like a roar lion seek who may devour." I can testify that this is what has recently occured with me. How do I know this, well simple I was in a state of fear for the word. The gospel clearly says as clear as day. II Timothy 1:7 For the Lord did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love of a sound mind. I was fearing what I was reading , for some odd reason than I finally clued in and got the answer. The enemy the devil twisted the words around in the bible so that I could walk in fear. He did this so that my faith would become containinated with fear. Amongst the war that I seemed to be trapped like a mouse just out of the reach of some good cheese. I was reminded of words of the psalmsist. More specifically Psalms 91. 13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;

you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

I came face to face with a head on battle with the devil himself, so to keep the faith I searched for protection in the armor of God for spiritual warfare.

Ephesians 6:10-18 (New International Version)

The Armor of God
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

SEEN the cause with your own eyes. - Devotional 50!

In a world where the people of society are consumed by the concept of "seeing is believing. I was watching a couple today that discussed that subject. I trust we all know the Adam Sandler "Click." Adam's character can fast forward to events in his life with the help off a universal remote. What if you had the power of the Universal remote and its special feature allowed you took take a trip back to see Christ's suffering.
How would feel if you had to live thtough the whole experience? Would you cry? Would you try to save Jesus from death. Would you fall to your knees at the foot of the cross and cry out I believe? Now whats stopping you from not believing, Do you believe it because you out of millions saw this. What if what you saw was all a dream, would you wake up and make a difference in the world for the cause of Jesus and what he did for you on the cross?

What would it take for you to believve in the truth and knowing the Jesus Christ was a savior to the world? If seeing is believing than your not alone. Even Thomas doubted Jesus.

Jesus Appears to Thomas
24Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!"
But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it."

26A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 27Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."

28Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"

If you saw , would you BELIEVE?

Remember everything is alright with your eyes on Christ.

Jesus in a lamp - Devotional 49 Mark 10:17-25

If you come to know who Christ he will bless you with great wealth and great health." I can't express how great it is to know Jesus. Tommy, Steve, Jim you should really get to know who Jesus is. He is the Christ. King of Kings, Lords of Lords which means if he's the King of Kings hes got to be royality, Wow Anthony that sounds intresting enough to join I just have 2 questions. "Oh ya guys whats your question? Do you have a pen?, Where do I sign up.? I slowly laughed at them all. Because the secret is, in the begininning thats why I appealed to Christ. I wanted it all, money women, a good education and Jesus on Sunday. I still wanted to have Jesus in my heart, but I wanted to live in the world so much, sure my childhood was rough as in terms of friends, but in high school and college, people really loved me. They really did. I loved the attention, I soaked it all like a spunge.

But I soon realized no matter how much I had, I always wanting more and more, the attention was never enough. My life could be compared to the rich man, who wondered what he would have to do enter heaven.

Mark 10:17-25 (New International Version)

The Rich Young Man
17As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. "Good teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

18"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone. 19You know the commandments: 'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, do not defraud, honor your father and mother.'[a]"

20"Teacher," he declared, "all these I have kept since I was a boy."

21Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

22At this the man's face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth.

23Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!"

24The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, "Children, how hard it is[b] to enter the kingdom of God! 25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

Lets remember that with your eyes on Christ, everythings alright!

ACCEPTED - DEVOTIONAL 48

My father is not a fan of wrestling from the least bit. He oftened asked me as a child growing up why would I look up to such wrestling superstars? Growing up my answer was always the same, "Dad I watch them because they make wrestling look cool and it looks exciting." Well to be quite honest with you, no fan can really know what wrestlers go through. Sure you see them on TV. They live the lives that are sometimes seem larger than life. But how do they come to be just that , a "wrestling superstar?"

A wrestler by the name of John Cena , who in my opinion meres features of the great character Rocky Ballboa. often preaches to the fans and fellow wrestling peers about respect and hard work.

One of wrestling biggest legends Hulk Hogan who presonified a hero to teach kids to work hard, eat their vitamins and say their prayers. So myself being the fan of wrestling that I am, I decided to investigate the stories behind the storylines and million - dollar wrestlers. Now I'm Canadian and being the wrestling fan I would often hear stories of the STU HART DUNGON, and son Owen recording the screams of wrestling peers working out with his father Stu.

Many people understand well about what sacrifice is. The reason I say a fan can't understand what a wrestler goes through behind the scenes , when the cameras ain't rolling and the lights aren't shinning bright. Its impossible for a fan to know what a wrestler goes through behind the scenes, because its only 2 hours a week that anybody would see them on TV. When you do see them on TV they make everything look so good.

No one sees the workouts, no one sees the training , the preperation that goes into making it all look good. They make it all look good for the fans because they love the business. Often hear about wrestlers putting their body and health at great risk even before they get into the big leagues of the WWE. They do it all to be accepted.

In Scripture it says the world was accepted by God after this Isaiah 53:5 (King James Version)

5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Jesus Christ died for our sins so that we would be accepted in God's eyes.

Have you ACCEPTED Jesus?

Getting connected to the sound and get bigger muscles with Jesus- Devotional 47

I've always wanted a life and the type of health I often in magazines. No I'm not talking fashion, I'm talking fittness.
For quite a while now I didn't know how to do it without some sort of motivation.
I blogged in a earlier devotional that our body is the body of Christ (1 Cor6:19-20.)
So I thought well sure why wouldn't that work for me. Its no secret that I'm a "church boy." I also love music. So what if I combined listening to ssermons and listening to music of God and through working out an or fittness into the mix. As for anybody who works out we all want results and I'm not the kind of person that will not workout unless it yeilds results. Results MEANS POWER, POWER IS A RESULT OF TIME AND EFFORT.

1 Corinthians 4:20 (New International Version)

20For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.

Whos war is it to win? - Devotional 46

Theres alot of talk about religious wars in the world. Some people can say that groups going to war can be the concept of one terrorist is one mans freedom fighter. So whos right? To examine that we have to establish the cause they fight for, the God;s they fight for....
Religious wars have been plasted all over movies, "Gangs of New York," "Kingdom of Heaven," Not to mention the scriptures. There's numerous refrences to wars in the Bible. So whats the right choice. I think the choice is quite clear, Look at 1 Samuel 17:11-41
1 Samuel 17:11-41 (King James Version)

11When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.

12Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehemjudah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.

13And the three eldest sons of Jesse went and followed Saul to the battle: and the names of his three sons that went to the battle were Eliab the firstborn, and next unto him Abinadab, and the third Shammah.

14And David was the youngest: and the three eldest followed Saul.

15But David went and returned from Saul to feed his father's sheep at Bethlehem.

16And the Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.

17And Jesse said unto David his son, Take now for thy brethren an ephah of this parched corn, and these ten loaves, and run to the camp of thy brethren;

18And carry these ten cheeses unto the captain of their thousand, and look how thy brethren fare, and take their pledge.

19Now Saul, and they, and all the men of Israel, were in the valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.

20And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle.

21For Israel and the Philistines had put the battle in array, army against army.

22And David left his carriage in the hand of the keeper of the carriage, and ran into the army, and came and saluted his brethren.

23And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them.

24And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.

25And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel.

26And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?

27And the people answered him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that killeth him.

28And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.

29And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?

30And he turned from him toward another, and spake after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former manner.

31And when the words were heard which David spake, they rehearsed them before Saul: and he sent for him.

32And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.

33And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.

34And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:

35And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.

36Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.

37David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.

38And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.

39And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.

40And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.

41And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.

So I ask you this question.
"Who ya with," Bernie Mac. "In other words whats your choice which side are you on?"

Inside the courtroom- Devotional 45 READ Psalm 51

Imagine you stand before a jury and judge convicted of a speeding ticket. All the evidence points to your guilt. Theres just simply no way you can escape your sentence. The fine is $250.000. Suddenly suddenly a stranger you don't know pays the court its settlement. The court than says you are free to go, because the debt has been paid.

Now the same could be said to you on the day of judgement. Lets look at the moral standards of Gods law.

Thou shall not steal. Have you stolen anything? If even its little?
Thou shall not lie? have you ever told a lie? Even a little white lie? What does that make you? A Liar.
Thou shall not commit adultrey. But see theres a catch- Jesus said if a man even looks at a woman to lust after her he has already committed adultrey with her in his heart. Have you ever looked at a woman with lustful thoughts?
Have you ever idoled a god? - If your answer is no wait for a second to examine the real truth. If you have this image of God who is all loving and forgiving and just lets everyone into heaven reguardless of the amounnt of sins they have committed. Than youn are idoltares. If you think that that God is all loving and all forgiving , you would correct, but to suguest that he's not going to judge for the things you did. Is not exactly the right way of thinking. If you think that God himself is vennageful aganist you and will cast you down to Hell. You would be mistaken, God doesn't do that, that is caused by the way God examines your sins. In the same way dust on a coffee table is shown when light is shown on to it.

How do we get out this problem, its quiet simple REPENT OF YOUR SIN. Open your mouth and speak to the Lord with all your heart. A good way to start is Paslm 51.
I would call Palsm 51 - a sinners prayer. Take a look...

Psalm 51
For the director of music. A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba.
1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.

2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.

4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you are proved right when you speak
and justified when you judge.

5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

6 Surely you desire truth in the inner parts [a] ;
you teach [b] me wisdom in the inmost place.

7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones you have crushed rejoice.

9 Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners will turn back to you.

14 Save me from bloodguilt, O God,
the God who saves me,
and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.

15 O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.

16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.

17 The sacrifices of God are [c] a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart,
O God, you will not despise.

18 In your good pleasure make Zion prosper;
build up the walls of Jerusalem.

19 Then there will be righteous sacrifices,
whole burnt offerings to delight you;
then bulls will be offered on your altar.

On that not if you wish to see how you measure upto the Lord you don't have to look far than in the book of Exdous.

Exodus 20 (New International Version)

Exodus 20
The Ten Commandments
1 And God spoke all these words:

2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

3 "You shall have no other gods before [a] me.

4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments.

7 "You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

12 "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

13 "You shall not murder.

14 "You shall not commit adultery.

15 "You shall not steal.

16 "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."

18 When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance 19 and said to Moses, "Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die."

20 Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning."

21 The people remained at a distance, while Moses approached the thick darkness where God was.
Idols and Altars
22 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Tell the Israelites this: 'You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven: 23 Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.

24 " 'Make an altar of earth for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, [b] your sheep and goats and your cattle. Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you. 25 If you make an altar of stones for me, do not build it with dressed stones, for you will defile it if you use a tool on it. 26 And do not go up to my altar on steps, lest your nakedness be exposed on it.'

If you have any questions you can either do 1 of four things.

1. You make a clear decision that today youe going to pick up your dusty old bible sitting in the corner of your house and begin to read the word and let God take a hold of your heart to transform you.
2. You can visit www.needGod.com, www.Livingwaters.com, www.wayofthemaster.com
3. Go speak to your church its never to late to talk to someone about God, people are there to guide you if you have questions.
4. Pray!!!
