Jesus Freak, what does does that mean to you, when you hear those words?
What do Jesus freaks look like?
How do they act?
Do they have long hair?
Do they have big tatoos that say "I love Jesus?
What do you do to become a Jesus freak?
Is it a private club or can anyone join?
How do Jesus freaks pray?
Do you recgonize him?
Tonight in the latest devotional we will discover what makes a Jesus Freak, a freak for Jesus.
Most people when hear they phrase or term Jesus freak most people would automatically assume that they are "Christian." But to determine what a Jesus freak is first at the word "Christian." and what it means to be a Christian. If we look up a passage in Acts more specifically Acts 19:26 it says, 19A)">(A)So then those who were scattered because of the persecution that occurred in connection with Stephen made their way to B)">(B)Phoenicia and C)">(C)Cyprus and D)">(D)Antioch, speaking the word to no one except to Jews alone.
20But there were some of them, men of E)">(E)Cyprus and F)">(F)Cyrene, who came to G)">(G)Antioch and began speaking to the a]">[a]H)">(H)Greeks also, I)">(I)preaching the Lord Jesus.
21And J)">(J)the hand of the Lord was with them, and K)">(K)a large number who believed turned to the Lord.
22The news about them reached the ears of the church at Jerusalem, and they sent L)">(L)Barnabas off to M)">(M)Antioch.
23Then when he arrived and witnessed N)">(N)the grace of God, he rejoiced and began to encourage them all with resolute heart to remain true to the Lord;
24for he was a good man, and O)">(O)full of the Holy Spirit and of faith And P)">(P)considerable numbers were brought to the Lord.
25And he left for Q)">(Q)Tarsus to look for Saul;
26and when he had found him, he brought him to R)">(R)Antioch And for an entire year they met with the church and taught considerable numbers; and S)">(S)the disciples were first called T)">(T)Christians in U)">(U)Antioch.
Its hard to tell where Christians are now, its very difficult to determine who's Christian and whos not? Christianity has now become has a sub-culture.
Some people say anybody who believes in Jesus is Christian we now turn our attention to Mathew 7:12
1"A)">(A)Do not judge so that you will not be judged.
2"For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and B)">(B)by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.
3"Why do you C)">(C)look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
4"D)">(D)Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' and behold, the log is in your own eye?
5"You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
6"E)">(E)Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
